Personal Projects

Discover below some projects I am working on in my free time, or during my travels abroad.

Drawings on photographs

As a photographer, I am both stimulated and limited by my surroundings when capturing a moment.

Sometimes, there is only so much a picture can reveal. Frustrated by those limitations, I decided to add some written comments or drawings in order to perfectly depict the moment I was living.

These comments at times carry a slightly ironic tone, inviting the spectator to question and reconsider (one of) the reality(ies) he is confronted to. They also reflect a part of my inner world with somewhat more profound questions coming through my mind, and often imply a large dose of humor.

Christo & Jeanne-Claude

In a breathtaking display of artistic vision and audacity, renowned artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude have transformed the iconic Arc de Triomphe into a temporary masterpiece. Swathed in billowing fabric, the monumental arch stands as a mesmerizing testament to the power of imagination and the harmonious interplay between art and architecture.

The ethereal draping of the fabric gracefully accentuates the monument's grandeur, creating a captivating juxtaposition of the historic and the contemporary. As sunlight filters on the translucent veils, it casts an ever-changing dance of light and shadow upon the hallowed structure, mesmerizing all who behold it.

Christo and Jeanne-Claude's daring intervention has elevated the Arc de Triomphe into a profound symbol of transformation, inviting visitors to perceive this Parisian icon through a new lens of artistic wonder.

Stockholm Archipelago

Shortly after the first lockdown in 2020, I traveled to the Stockholm archipelago to spend a few days with a Swedish friend and her grandparents on her mother's side (Mormor and Morfar).

There where the rhythm of life slows to a gentle cadence, a minimalistic photo reportage begins to unfold, well representative of the kind of life led there. The pictures immerse us in the captivating lives of an elderly couple, their existence intimately entwined with the serenity of this secluded haven.

It reminds us of the profound beauty that emerges when we embrace life's tranquility, when we strip away the noise and distractions, and find fulfillment in the simple joys of companionship and the rhythm of nature. On this small island, where calm pervades, the old couple's story lingers as a timeless reminder of the profound beauty found in a life well lived.

Ile d'Yeu

In the heart of France's Atlantic coast lies the picturesque island of Ile d'Yeu, where I spent all my summers since the age of three. Above the fact that this place holds my dearest and most tender memories with my friends and family, it is also notorious for its unique light. In fact, many were the artists to come this island to paint or draw which constitutes an even more special scenery to capture as a photographer.
